Blogging and social enginnering
With identity thefts as one of the biggest and lucrative crime, I was wondering how much information
a fradulent person can assimilate of a blogger. Phishing attacks and related internet scams operate on sheer deceit. With orkut (another google affiliated friends network) and tons of blog sites witness goads of people disclose their personal information. For example, few years back guyz have to try desperately to gather details of a beautiful girl. I remember days where I was really determined about a beautiful girl in my college and her details. Albeit this is an innocuos example, the point I wish to make is same information can be mined by a malicious intruder. It would be great if we follow a norm or rather a procedure/rules exist that warn the novice users about caveats of careless blogging and how one could work towards protecting his/her privacy.

Is very bad to collect personal details of one.
Does the concern you raised have to do anything with the fact that you interned at Google? If it does -- good. If it doesn't just imagine the amount of data they index everyday. It is worrysome that Google doesnt ever raise the privacy issue.
